We will endeavour to ensure a healthy baby and mother during your pregnancy and childbirth. Our practice offers a wide range of services:
- Pre-pregnancy counseling
- Antenatal visits
- Midwifery visits
- Basic ultrasound provided (Nuchal and morphology scans will be referred to a specialised ultrasound centre)
- Management of low and high-risk pregnancy
- A wide range of birthing options can be discussed throughout your pregnancy to assist in patients making informed choices.
Our midwife is involved in the antenatal and post-natal care. She feels privileged to share this pregnancy journey you and your family. The midwife visit provides an opportunity for extended discussions, education and support around concerns/queries you may have. The midwives are happy to take phone calls about any concerns.
Ideally, your first visit should be made when you are around 12 weeks of your pregnancy. As soon as you are aware of your pregnancy, please contact our rooms to make an appointment for your initial consultation as Dr Bogiatzis can be booked many weeks in advance.
Postnatal: Mum & Bub Clinic
After your baby is born, we offer you the choice of returning to our Office for a “Mum and Bub” check with our Midwife. This appointment can be made for 7-10 days after discharge. At this visit, we are able to discuss feeding and baby care issues alleviating any concerns you may have transitioning to parenthood. Providing this service has proven to be of great benefit to our patients.
As well, at 6 weeks, you will be reviewed by Dr Bogiatzis for your final postnatal check. This is an opportunity to discuss your physical and emotional wellbeing since the birth of your baby.
