A snapshot of George

Why Obstetrics…

I birthed my first baby as a medical student at the Royal Women’s Hospital in 1989. To this day, I have never tired of the exhilaration of witnessing a new little person arrive into the world.

My Approach…

To provide the best possible care that I can.  Expect the unexpected and don’t take anything for granted.  Medicine is a profession which is full of surprises and my approach is to listen to and nurture my patients to the best of my abilities.

A good day includes…

Exercise before work, helping my patients, then home to see the family and help with homework.

Greatest satisfaction…

Seeing patients walk through the door, nervous and concerned, and have them leave empowered with knowledge to assist in their decision making.

Greatest asset…

My communication and intuition skills. I also have the most fantastic staff in the world and people respond well to their caring, professional and dedicated approach.

Best advice my parents gave me…

Work hard, persevere and respect yourself and others.  I tell my two boys the same.

I relax by…

Playing cricket, biking, eating out but most of all being with my family.

I wish I could…

Play the piano or guitar …it is a five-year plan.

I hope patients remember…

Experiencing a warm, caring and safe environment.

Our Midwife – Georgina Milne

I’m Georgina, as a midwife, my passion is women’s health in pregnancy, birth and postnatally too.  I have worked at Buderim Private Hospital for five years before transitioning to my role with Dr Bogiatzis after completing my own family.

I love information sharing and believe that knowledge leads to better outcomes for women and their families.  I meet you during your pregnancy to discuss lots of things from whooping cough to breastfeeding and work closely with Dr Bogiatzis to provide an experience that’s well informed and supportive to your decision-making.

Research has shown that continuity of care throughout pregnancy has a positive impact on mothers and babies.  I can provide a familiar face at each appointment which helps you transition to parenthood through a positive experience.

Breastfeeding Workshops

We have monthly workshops running throughout the year. Georgina provides a relaxed atmosphere to discuss breastfeeding education over a cuppa tea with other mums to be. Limited spaces are available, so please us on (07) 5444 6400 to book in. For the dates of our Breast Feeding Workshops for 2018, please click HERE.
